Our Story
MailGoatt started when our founder sat down one evening to answer a few emails and was confronted by 47,000 unread messages. Not spam — just newsletters, shipping notifications, automated alerts, and old threads that were once important but had long since expired.
Existing tools either required handing over your Gmail credentials to a third-party web app or spending hours writing complex filters. Neither felt right. What we wanted was something simple: a rule-based service that would move old unread emails out of the inbox, every day, automatically, without reading the content of your mail.
So we built it. MailGoatt connects through IMAP or a supported provider API. It never stores message bodies; when you use never-move keywords, visible text is checked transiently and discarded after the cleanup. Every moved message is logged so you always have a full audit trail. And it runs after your configured UTC time so your inbox stays clean automatically.
We launched in 2026 as a small, independent product. We don't have venture capital. We don't have a hundred engineers. We have a focused product, a fair price, and a genuine belief that your inbox should be your most productive tool — not your biggest source of anxiety.
What We Stand For
We never store email bodies. Mailbox credentials are encrypted at rest, and visible text is processed transiently only for rules you configure.
